Contest, here are some details and results about the 2008 contest
in the UK.

A revamp of the show, called Eurovision, Your Decision. It was be broadcast live on Saturday
1 March 2008 on BBC1 and BBC HD.
There are 6 songs
competing for this years UK entry. Presented by Terry Wogan and Claudia
Winkleman.
The UK will go straight to the
Eurovision Final on Saturday 24 May 2008. Voting will be done by telephone.
BBC1 19:00-20:00
- Presented by Terry Wogan and Claudia Winkleman.
- Judges were John Barrowman and Carrie Grant.
- Different to previous years as there will be 3 categories which have 2
songs each.
- First category, the group, LoveShy and The Revelations
- Second category,previous TV talent show finalist, Rob McVeigh and Simona
Armstrong
- Third category, the soloist, Michelle Gayle and Andy Abraham
- The judges will decide which song will go through to the next round for
the public vote. If there is a split decision, Terry will decide.
- There will also be a wildcard which one of the losing contestant have a
second shot.
- All four songs will go to the second round
- First Category, Revelations won
- Second Category, Simona Armstrong won
- Third Category, Michelle Gayle won
- Wildcard as chosen by Terry Wogan was Andy Abraham

- The top 2 acts goes through to the final round. The bottom 2 acts will
leave the contest. The top 2 acts will go for a sing off. They are Michelle
Gayle and Andy Abraham
- Guest singer was Katrina singing a modern day version of Love Shine a
Light.
- The winner (with no repeat of last year results!) was Andy Abraham who will represent the UK in Belgrade, Serbia.

- The Semi Finals will be broadcast on BBC3 at 20:00 for 2 hours on
Tuesday 20 May 2008 and Thursday 22 May 2008, commentator unknown at the moment but it could be
Paddy O'Connell.
- The Finals will be broadcast on BBC1 at 20:00 for 3 hours
20 minutes on Saturday 24 May 2008, UK commentator will be
Terry Wogan (of course. Eurovision is not Eurovision without Terry)
